The fire extinguishing spray is a single-use aerosol pressure vessel that, when activated, generates an extremely fine, stable, and persistent foam that quickly covers the fire source, preventing its contact with atmospheric oxygen that sustains combustion. The liquid resulting from the foam breaking cools the surfaces, preventing their re-ignition. The propellant used is nitrogen. The fire extinguishing spray is used in incipient, small-scale fires, of type A (combustible solids) and type B (combustible liquids), respectively in car fires (caused by electrical installation, fuel), in households and camping (due to the ignition of textiles, papers, wood, oils, solvents, embers).
Validity period 39 months from the date of manufacture.
The Aerosol Directive obliges manufacturers to mark two volumes on the can:
The first specifies the volume of liquid solution (in milliliters) introduced into the can, i.e., the volume that exits the can by spraying, which includes at least two components, the useful product + liquefied propellant gas (LPG, DME, new generation Freons). In the case of other products that use gaseous propellants (nitrogen, carbon dioxide, air), as is the case with our extinguisher (N2), only the volume of liquid contained is indicated, i.e., 600 ml for the extinguisher.
The second specifies the total/gross volume of the can, i.e., 1000 ml in the case of the extinguisher. This figure is placed in a rectangle, in the same visual field as the first figure. That is: 600 ml - 1000 ml
The extinguisher contains 600 ml of extinguishing solution delivered in a pressurized can with a total capacity of 1000 ml.
